The purpose of services in SMS Studio is to process messages.
SMS Studio can open and run multiple services simultaneously. However, only one service can be visible at any one time. You can use Select Service Dialog to switch between opened services. You can also use the service ID number to quickly select visible service by using shortcut Ctrl+Number.
After placing an incoming message in the Inbox, SMS Studio notifies all currently running services of the new message arrival. The service ID number determines the order in which incoming messages are dispatched to services. Each service may decide to stop dispatching accepted messages to remaining services.
Services use filters to decide if they will accept the new message. Each service may have a set of filters assigned. A filter may accept or reject the message, depending on the message properties. Note that a message may be accepted by more than one service.
Services have the ability to send automatic replies, depending on the result of processing the message.
Some services support the full screen mode. In this mode the displayed picture can occupy any specified part of the Windows desktop. Note that the Windows desktop may be extended onto multiple monitors.
