TV Chat Window
The TV Chat window displays the messages received by the TV Chat service.
The TV Chat window includes the Chat Preview and the Moderator Bar. When the chat is displayed in the full screen mode, the Chat Preview is automatically switched to the draft mode.
To activate the TV Chat window, select TV Chat from Window menu of the menu bar, or use the shortcut Alt+W, T.
The columns displayed in the TV Chat table are as follows:
- Chat - The chat status of the message. See below for possible values.
- Status - The status of the received message. See below for possible values.
- Text - The text of the received message.
- From - The information about the sender of the message.
- To - The information about the recipient of the message.
- Time - The date and the time when the message is received.
- Account - The name of the account from which the message is received.
Chat status of the received message may be one of the following:
- None - The message is not added to the chat.
- Pending - The message is added to the chat.
- Next - The message is added to the chat and is the next one to become visible.
- Visible - The message is currently visible in the chat.
- Displayed [n] - The message has been displayed in the chat n times.
Status of the received message may be one of the following:
- Warning - The message has been marked by Content Filter.
- Ignored - The message is ignored.
The Action menu of the TV Chat window contains the following options:
- Add to/Remove from Chat - Use to add or remove the selected messages from the chat. If the message is added its chat status becomes Pending. If the message is removed its chat status becomes None.
- Pause/Resume - Use to pause or resume the chat. While the chat is paused, no messages can become visible. However, currently visible items may scroll out of the chat screen.
The Tools menu of the TV Chat window contains the following options:
- Reset Chat Status - Use to reset the chat status of the selected messages. These messages will also be removed from the chat.
- Accept - Use to accept the selected messages with Ignored status.
- Ignore - Use to ignore the selected messages. These messages will also be removed from the chat.
- Apply Ignored from Contacts - Use to ignore the selected messages sent by ignored contacts.
- Clear Content Warning - Use to clear the Warning status of the selected messages.
- Test Content - Use to test the content of the selected messages using the Content Filter.
- Show/Hide Background Bitmap - Shows or hides the background bitmap in the chat screen.
- Next Background Bitmap - Displays the next background bitmap in the chat screen if multiple bitmaps have been loaded.
- Freeze/Unfreeze - Use to freeze or unfreeze the chat screen. No scroll will occur while the chat screen is frozen.
- Clear Chat Screen - Use to remove all currently visible items from the chat.
- Send Message - Use to send messages to the senders of the selected messages using the Send Message dialog.
- Forward Message - Use to forward the selected message using the Send Message dialog.
- Add/Edit Sender - Use to add or edit the sender of the selected message in the Address Book.
- Select in Contacts - Use to display the Contacts window and select contacts that have sent the selected messages. In case that some contacts do not exist, a question box will be displayed, allowing you to
choose whether you wish to create them.
- Edit Profile - Use to display the TV Chat Profile dialog.
In the Reply Bar of the TV Chat window you may use TV Chat Text Parameters,
Message Text Parameters, and Global Text Parameters.
