How to Create an ODBC Data Source
Follow these steps to create an ODBC Data Source for a Microsoft Access
database:
- Select Start / Settings / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Data Sources (ODBC) to open the ODBC Data Source Administrator.
- Switch to the System DSN tab.

- Click the Add button.
- Select Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) and click the Finish button.

- Type the name of Data Source in the Data Source Name field.

- Click the Select or Create button depending on
whether you wish to use the existing database file or create a new one.
- Select the existing database file, or, type the name of the new database file and
select the directory in which you wish to create the empty database.
- Exit all dialogs with the OK button until you leave the ODBC Data Source Administrator.
