The main window of the application consists of the menu bar, toolbar, status box, progress bar and tabbed pages area.
The menu bar contains the following menus:
Toolbar contains several options from the File and Service menus of the menu bar. To select the visible service or view the list of opened services click the Select button. Use the Start and Stop buttons to control the running state of the currently visible service. To open the setup dialog of the service click the Setup button.
Status box displays important status information of the application and the currently visible service. This means, for example, that you do not need to activate the Connections window to see if all connections are connected. Additionally, you can double click on an item in the Status box and SMS Studio will open the most appropriate window.
Progress bar displays a progress of lengthy operations.
Some windows can be docked into the tabbed pages area of the main window. A window may be displayed as a page in the tabbed pages area, or undocked as a normal window which stays on top of the application's main window, or even closed. A window which is docked (as a page in the tabbed pages area), can be activated simply by clicking on its caption area. You can also use the Window menu of the menu bar to activate specific window disregarding its state (docked, undocked or closed).
